Shenzhen Bay Sports Center is about 720 meters long from east to west and about 430 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of 300,000 square meters and a total construction area of 335,000 square meters. It includes five central projects: swimming, badminton, basketball, tennis, and football. It provides services such as training, event registration, and welfare sports. There are more than 80,000 regular members.
In 2024, the venue joined hands with Deke Intelligent to carry out a comprehensive intelligent system and equipment upgrade. Outdoor basketball courts and football fields introduced intelligent gate equipment. Deke intelligent gates support multiple verification methods such as face recognition, IC/ID cards, QR code scanning, and fingerprint recognition. It has a fast recognition speed (usually less than 1 second) and high accuracy, which can meet the needs of large venues such as the rapid passage of high-traffic crowds during the National Games. It solves the congestion during peak hours (such as event entry).
Among them, Deke teamed up with the WeChat payment team to upgrade the swimming pool, introduced palm print recognition technology, and created the "WeChat palm swipe" service, which enables palm swipe to enter the gate and store items. The "palm swipe" technology mainly recognizes "palm prints" and "palm veins", which has stronger privacy and risk resistance. After activating the "palm swipe" service, customers only need to swipe their palms to enter the swimming pool, which is private and convenient.
